About Entrepreneurs Unpluggd
Entrepreneurs Unpluggd is a media and events company based in Chicago that consists of an event arm where we produce live in-person events for entrepreneurs, and a content arm that consists of our website full of blog articles, video interviews, videos of our speakers and more.
The company is run by two entrepreneurs who share a passion for entrepreneurship and storytelling (@startupstella and @timjahn).
Director of Online Media
We have successfully established the Entrepreneurs Unpluggd brand and have robust growth in both traffic and newsletter signups. However, we’ve focused more on growing the events side and feel the online portion could grow exponentially. We’re looking for someone to join the team who can jump right in and inspire growth quickly as well as help with monetization. This role is for someone with a proven track record in blog monetization who will join us as a partner.
About You
-You have successfully monetized and scaled a blog and/or website.
-You are passionate about startups and entrepreneurship.
- You are looking for an opportunity to take an existing brand and take it to the next level.
- You thrive when faced with a challenge and don’t need a lot of direction.
-You’re comfortable in a remote working environment (we work remotely).

Director of Sales and Sponsorships
We are looking for someone with experience in sales who has a strong network among tech companies and startups. This person would be in charge of arranging sponsorships for Entrepreneurs Unpluggd bimonthly events and our quarterly summits. This position is commission based.
About You
-You are passionate about startups and entrepreneurship.
-You’re experienced in sales.
-You’re a self starter.
-You are comfortable working remotely with little oversight.

Online Marketing & Social Media Intern
The opportunity
We’re looking for you to help plan and execute our social media strategy for our content arm to increase specific business metrics. You’ll gain valuable experience in online marketing, using social media for business, and insight into how an online business operates.
If you’re a smart, entrepreneurial student looking to gain experience in online marketing and social media for business, we want you.
About you
- You are active on social media.
- You are passionate about the tech industry and startup/entrepreneur scene
- You understand how social media can be used to positively affect a businesses’ bottom line.
- You’re a self starter who doesn’t need anybody constantly looking over their shoulder.
- You’re comfortable in a remote working environment (we work remotely).
- You have 5-10 hours a week to devote to this internship.

You’ll gain valuable experience working with a nationally recognized startup that is well connected in the startup and entrepreneur scene. You’ll gain valuable experience in online marketing, using social media for business, and insight into how an online business operates.
Note: This is an unpaid internship but can be registered for school credit.
